Bart Scott is best known for his speed, agility, and intensity for the game. He was a Pro Bowler in 2006 when he posted season highs with 135 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and four straight 100-tackles seasons with the Ravens. In 2008 the unit allowed 244 points, third-fewest in the NFL, and led the NFL with 34 takeaways, 26 interceptions and a league-low 60.6 opponents’ passer rating.
Scott was a three-year starter at Southern Illinois University who tallied 352 tackles. He was named 1st-team All-Gateway conference and led the team with 127 tackles, 18 TFL, and 5.5 sacks as a senior. He majored in business.
Since joining the NFL Scott has constantly been working with his hometown Detroit, Michigan donating time, uniforms, gloves, and cleats to his alma-mater Southeastern High School football program. In 2006 he started his “A Son Never Forgets” foundation to benefit paraplegics. Scott is married and has one son.
