Mosley is a standout defensive player who is blessed with excellent size, speed and athleticism. His quickness off the ball allows him to get up field and put steady pressure on the quarterback. During the 2007 season against the Dallas Cowboys he executed a 3-yard strip sack of Tony Romo and a split sack of Ben Roethlisberger.
At the University of Missouri Mosley ended his playing career with 167 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 38 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and one blocked kick. He received The Associated Press First-Team All-Big 12 honors as a senior, and was named Missouri’s Defensive Lineman of the Year twice. Mosley majored in hotel and restaurant management.
CJ Mosley was born at Fort Knox, Ky., and lived in Germany, California, Georgia, Kansas and Kentucky before attending high school in Missouri. He was a three-time first team all-district selection and all-state selection as a senior at Waynesville High School. Mosley has dedicated his football career in memory of his mother, Angela Mosley, who passed away from breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 46. He considers himself a movie buff, an avid bowler, and also enjoys fishing with his grandfather.
