Pittman is a speedy and fluid athlete who displays a good feel for coverage. He started his first-career game in 2007 against Pittsburgh and led the defensive backs with a career-high seven tackles, six solo, and two interceptions.
David was a four-year starter as a cover corner for Northwestern (La.) State. He helped the Demons achieve a 28-19 overall record, two I-AA playoff berths, and the 2004 Southland Conference championship. Pittman played in 43 career games, tallying 147 total tackles, 108 solo, 11 interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was named first-team I-AA All-American by the Sports Xchange, was an All-Southland Conference first-team and All-Louisiana first-team selection, and was the only Division I-AA defensive back to receive an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Pittman earned a business administration degree.
He was an all-district selection at Lutcher (La.) High School. David was extremely active in the Baltimore community.
