Pro Career:
Landri is a tough hard-nosed tackle, and great change of pace play maker. He shined in the 2007 postseason as he recorded a sack, interception, and fumble recovery in AFC Wild Card Game at Pittsburgh.
College Career:
He ranked ninth in school history for tackles for loss and set a school single-season record with four blocked kicks as a senior. Landri became the second player in NCAA history to block two extra point attempts in the game against North Carolina. He earned All-Major Independent first-team honors from The NFL Draft Report. Derek graduated with a degree in history and computer applications from Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters.
Personal:
Derek is only third De La Salle high school player ever to receive California Player of the Years honors. He was named the first-team USA Today and Parade All-America, and rated as top lineman in the country by Parade. He has participated in events benefiting the St. Johns County Council on Aging, and is an active participant of 2007 Jaguars Rookie Club.
