Walker is a veteran cornerback with good cover skills and is also a special teams standout. He is a vital player who contributed an enormous amount to the Ravens 2nd ranked defense during the 2008 season. He averaged 33 yards per INT return, including a 56-yard return for a TD in 2003, his rookie season.
He finished his Tuskegee career with 92 tackles (64 solo), 2 sacks, 6 TFL, 6 INTs and 34 PD during his time as a Golden Tiger. In 2002 as a senior, he was named Little All-America 1st-team and Super Sleeper Team selection by the NFL Draft Report. Walker was selected as an All-SIAC 2nd-team pick by The Sports Page in 2000. He majored in mechanical engineering.
He is an extremely active participant in the community. Walker annually hosts a free football camp in hometown of Tuskegee. Since coming into the league in 2003, Walker has donated 35,000 pounds of poultry to local community organizations during the holidays with Lift Up America. He also has participated in constructing homes for Katrina Relief with Habitat for Humanity at Rockefeller Plaza and made a financial contribution to Habitat for Humanity International’s Katrina Relief Fund.
