During Taylor’s rookie season he posted five tackles, one sack, six quarterback pressures and one fumble recovery.
Taylor compiled 103 tackles, 19 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries while playing defensive end and linebacker at North Carolina. As a senior he ranked second in the ACC and 11th in the nation for sacks per game with an average of 0.88. He finished third in the conference with 16 tackles for losses. Hilee also played in the Hula Bowl following his 2007 senior season. He majored in sociology.
Taylor attended Scotland County High School in Laurinburg, NC. He was ranked among the top 25 players in North Carolina by The Charlotte Observer, and he ranked as the 14th senior in North Carolina by SuperPrep. During his senior season he had 128 tackles and 17 tackles for losses. He enjoys playing basketball in his free time.
