During Williams, 2008 rookie year with the Denver Broncos he played in 14 games, totaled 9 defensive tackles, and tied for sixth on the club with five special-teams stops.
Jack Williams tied for first in the nation with five forced fumbles and had eight takeaways (4 interceptions, 4 fumble recoveries) as a junior. As a senior he earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference honors, starting 11 games and registering a personal-best 93 tackles along with three interceptions. He finished his career at Kent State tied for third in school history with 13 interceptions while registering a school-record two interceptions returned for touchdowns. He received a bachelor’s degree in sports management.
Williams received all-state honors as a senior at Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA. He also picked up all-region, all-Tidewater accolades, and was named all-district twice. As a senior he posted 10 interceptions and 10 touchdowns. While attending Kent State he earned “Elite Flash” status for his prowess in weightlifting, speed and agility in offseason.
