“Coming over to NSA was the best decision I could have made. Before, I felt like a small fish in a big pond. At NSA, everyone is equal. We’re all family!”

Jacoby Jones is an explosive punt returner and receiver. He has set a Houston Texans record for being the only player in history to have two punt returns for touchdowns. His 12.1 punt return average ranked fifth in the NFL during the 2008 season. Also during the 2008 season he received AFC Special Teams Player of the Week during weeks six and eight.
Jones is the only player in Lane College history to score via a reception, rushing attempt, punt return and kickoff return in the same season (2006). During his 2006 season he became the first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player to earn All-SIAC honors at three positions (receiver, punt returner, kickoff returner). He also holds the school career record with 1,937 yards, four touchdowns on kickoff returns, and he became the first player in Lane annals to catch 200 passes in a career.
Jones played football for the first time as a junior at Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans. He has worked as a tutor for Upward Bound, a nationwide program dedicated to preparing students from low-income families for college.
