Seventh-year lineman joined the Rams in 2009 after spending the first four seasons of his career with Baltimore. He has started 76 consecutive games. Brown spent most of his career at left guard before starting all 16 games at center in 2008. Since becoming a starter, Brown has blocked for four 1,000 yard rushers in Jamaal Lewis, Willis McGahee, and Steven Jackson.
He was a three-year starter at center for the Tar Heels after switching from tackle before his sophomore year. Brown started 36 consecutive games at center, earning him first-team All-America honors from The NFL Draft Report as a senior. He also earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 2004.
Brown was a two-time North Conference 2-A Lineman of the Year at Northern Vance High in Henderson, NC. He helped his team rush for more than 3,000 yards during his junior and senior seasons. Jason is married to Tay and has a son, JW, Jr.
