Two-year letterwinner at Abilene Christian (2007-08) after playing his first two seasons at Tyler (TX) Junior College (2005-06)… Honored as an All-American and all-conference selection following both of his seasons at ACU… Hauled in 118 receptions for 2,227 yards and 30 TDs in his two seasons at Abilene… Concluded his career with the most TD receptions in school history and finished fifth all-time in receiving yards and tied for sixth in receptions… Ranks second in school history with nine 100-yard receiving games and tied for first with two 200-yard contests… Just the second player in team annals in post two 1,000-yard receiving seasons… Also set a school single-season record with 17 TD receptions in 2007… Caught 16 passes for 306 yards and 8 TDs in Abilene’s four playoff games during his career… Also returned 21 punts for 188 yards (9.0 avg) and 7 kickoffs for 160 yards (22.9 avg)… Saw action in 13 games at Tyler College (8 starts), catching 45 passes for 1,023 yards (22.7 avg) and 13 TDs.

Johnny Knox attended Channelview High School in Houston. He was the first-team all-state selection as a senior.
