Pro Career:

Marcus Smith is a big, strong receiver who blocks well, catches the ball in traffic and is very physical.

College Career:

Smith earned 1st-team All-MWC honors at WR as a senior at New Mexico. He led the conference and tied for 14th in the nation with a school-record 91 catches as a senior in 2007. Marcus totaled 1,353 yards on 68 returns in his career, and ranked 7th in UNM history with 2,073 receiving yards. Smith’s 1,125 receiving yards ranked as the 5th most in New Mexico history, while adding 4 TDs and 50 1st downs. While at New Mexico he majored in criminology.

Personal:

He earned 1st-team All-Western League honors at RB and 2nd-team accolades at FS as a senior at Morse High School in San Diego, CA. Smith gained more than 1,800 yards and 30 TDs during his final 2 years, including 1,000 yards receiving and 19 scores as a senior.
