CBSSports.com selected an All-Decade team for the WAC. Predictably, Boise State was well represented. Unpredictably, however, Hawaii had more players on the team than the Broncos.
The Web site named former Boise State linebacker Korey Hall — a four-year starter, three-time first-team All-WAC selection and two-time WAC defensive player of the year — as its defensive player of the decade.
It’s hard to argue with that choice. Choosing San Jose State cornerback Dwight Lowery, the apparent No. 2 choice, would have been a travesty.
Joining Hall on the team were running back Ian Johnson, left tackle Ryan Clady, defensive back Quintin Mikell and punter Kyle Stringer.
Hawaii placed quarterback Colt Brennan, wide receivers Davone Bess and Ashley Lelie, offensive lineman Samson Satele, linebacker Solomon Elimimian and kick returner Chad Owens on the team.
Former Idaho linebacker David Vobora is the lone Vandal rep on the team.
